Group Schemes

Also called Company Schemes these are Personal Pensions grouped together by a provider for the benefit of the staff and employees of a particular company or business. Each individual account operates under the same rules and in the same way as an individual Personal Pension. The group status enables the company, or business, to benefit from economies of scale regarding costs and charges. The employees get a valuable employment perk, which often includes a contribution from the employer, and the advantage of the same reduced costs and charges means more is invested to retire on.

Often arranged for employees of private practitioners that are not eligible to join the NHS Superannuation Scheme.
