The guarantor mortgage is for the young professional just starting out or the senior medical professional wanting to give their son or daughter a good start-up in life.
For the young professional the person who stands guarantor for them covers the mortgage short fall from their income and based on their expected accelerated earnings in the future they will be able to fully cover the mortgage themselves, usually within a designated time frame of say five to ten years. At which time the guarantor can be released.
For the senior medical professional it is where they act as the guarantor for their own children, whether in the profession or not, to enable them to get a foot hold on the property ladder.
